Swanson Health Products to Expand Fargo Facility

Fargo, N.D. (July 28, 2009) –

            Swanson Health Products, a leading producer of health supplements, is expanding their Fargo facility adding 61 new employees over the next five years.  The $10,000,000 expansion includes a 70,000 square foot addition to their existing facility and acquisition of new machinery and equipment.  

            Founded in 1969, Swanson Health Products is a vitamin superstore selling vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements directly to customers worldwide.  The company currently employs 380 people locally.  “Swanson Health Products is a key primary sector business that has remained committed to growing employment in the Fargo Moorhead region”, said Brian Walters, Greater Fargo Moorhead EDC President.  “In addition to the permanent positions expected from Swanson, the expansion will spur additional economic activity in the construction and service sectors.”
