Fargo Automation Announces Expansion Plans   

 

Fargo, N.D. (December 28, 2009) –

 

             Fargo Automation has announced a 1.5 million dollar expansion project.  The company plans to add 3,000 square feet of office space and 8,000 square feet of manufacturing space.    
           
Fargo Automation was started July 1, 1996 and currently employs 60 people.  The company plans to add an additional 36 jobs within the next three years.   Company officials say according to projections, Fargo Automation will total 100 employees in five years.
        
The company builds packaging machinery for pharmaceutical companies in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.  Their customers include Pfizer, Becton Dickinson, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Tyco Healthcare, and Warner Chilcott.
        
More than 50% of materials, components, and supplies are purchased from local businesses.
